Brault Healthcare Conference Island Booth Design
Brault Healthcare Conference Island Booth Design
ACEP25 Scientific Assembly | Salt Lake City, Utah | September 7–10, 2025
Overview
As part of Brault Practice Solutions' broader multichannel brand transformation initiative, I led the creative strategy, environmental design, and execution of a custom island exhibit for the ACEP25 Scientific Assembly in Salt Lake City. The project extended a year-long corporate rebranding effort into a large-scale experiential marketing environment, translating Brault's refreshed visual identity into an engaging conference experience.
The exhibit served as a physical manifestation of the new brand ecosystem I developed across digital marketing, website design, provider portals, sales collateral, presentation systems, corporate communications, and event marketing. It also served as the launch platform for PerformanceIQ Metrix, Brault's newly branded provider analytics and dashboard solution. Conference attendees were invited to experience live demonstrations and hands-on interactions with the platform through dedicated workstation kiosks, allowing existing and prospective clients to explore reporting capabilities, performance metrics, reimbursement analytics, and data visualization tools firsthand.
As a family-owned healthcare services organization competing against significantly larger healthcare technology firms and national revenue cycle management providers, Brault needed to maximize visibility, memorability, and brand recognition within one of the industry's most competitive conference environments. The exhibit was designed to elevate Brault's presence beyond its size, creating an experience that reflected the sophistication, innovation, and expertise of a much larger organization while maintaining the company's approachable and relationship-driven culture.
ACEP25 Scientific Assembly attracted more than 7,000 healthcare professionals and over 300 exhibiting companies, making it one of the most influential events in emergency medicine and an ideal platform for strengthening brand awareness, launching new products, and generating business opportunities.
Challenge
Brault had already established a reputation for distinctive conference experiences. My previous booth designs for ACEP Scientific Assembly in San Francisco (2023) and Philadelphia (2024) featured a bold, colorful visual system inspired by the geometry and energy of a Rubik's Cube, earning recognition from conference organizers as one of the event's most memorable exhibits.
The challenge for ACEP25 was not simply to create another visually striking booth. Instead, the objective was to evolve the conference experience to reflect Brault's newly transformed brand identity while maintaining the energy, creativity, and visual impact attendees had come to expect.
The exhibit also served as the public introduction of PerformanceIQ Metrix, requiring an environment that could effectively support product demonstrations while showcasing Brault's broader service ecosystem and newly established brand standards.
As a smaller, family-owned organization exhibiting alongside some of the largest healthcare technology, analytics, and revenue cycle management companies in the industry, Brault needed to establish a presence that could compete for attention without relying on the massive budgets, oversized structures, and expansive footprints often available to larger competitors.
The booth needed to:
– Showcase Brault's comprehensive multichannel rebranding initiative
– Launch the new PerformanceIQ Metrix analytics and provider dashboard platform
– Support interactive product demonstrations and attendee engagement
– Celebrate Brault's 35-year corporate milestone
– Strengthen long-term brand recognition and recall
– Communicate multiple service offerings within a concise footprint
– Differentiate Brault from larger competitors in a highly saturated healthcare conference environment
– Reinforce consistency with newly redesigned websites, marketing campaigns, collateral systems, provider portals, and digital communications
– Create a memorable experience that strengthened business development opportunities

Creative Strategy & Design Solution
Building upon the visual foundation established through Brault's rebranding initiative, I developed an exhibit concept centered around the theme: "Unlock Your Practice's Potential".
The design utilized the expanded corporate color palette developed during the larger brand transformation project, moving beyond traditional healthcare blues and Brault's two signature colors of burgundy and gray, and introducing a more fun and vibrant, multicolored visual system that symbolized growth, connectivity, innovation, and performance optimization.
A dramatic central tower served as the visual anchor of the exhibit, featuring colorful datapoints converging upward showing growth. This graphic system represented the flow of information, analytics, reimbursement optimization, and interconnected services that support physician practices throughout the healthcare revenue cycle.
The visual metaphor aligned directly with the launch of PerformanceIQ Metrix while reinforcing Brault's broader ecosystem of healthcare solutions.
Dedicated workstations allowed conference attendees to explore live demonstrations of the new dashboard platform, creating opportunities for deeper conversations around analytics, operational performance, coding accuracy, reimbursement optimization, and practice growth.
Supporting exhibit kiosks highlighted key service lines and consistent branding and design that accompanied new handout brochures, featuring complimentary strategic themes and messaging, creating a clear hierarchy while maintaining a cohesive visual experience throughout the booth.
The exhibit incorporated:
– Large-scale environmental graphics
– Custom iconography developed during the rebrand
– Service-specific color coding and messaging systems
– Integrated PerformanceIQ Metrix product branding
– 35-year anniversary messaging
– Interactive product demonstration stations

Competitive Landscape Analysis
A review of neighboring exhibitors revealed a consistent industry trend toward conservative healthcare marketing aesthetics dominated by blue color palettes, minimal environmental storytelling, large logo applications, and standard exhibit structures.
Many competing organizations represented substantially larger corporations with greater marketing budgets, larger exhibit footprints, and greater brand awareness. Their exhibits frequently relied on established market recognition, monochromatic branding systems, conventional healthcare visuals, and standard conference environments.
Many competing booths featured:
– Monochromatic blue branding systems
– Generic healthcare visuals
– Minimal messaging differentiation
– Conventional exhibit architecture
– Static product displays
– Limited environmental storytelling

– Limited environmental storytelling
In contrast, the Brault exhibit leveraged bold color relationships, immersive environmental graphics, integrated service messaging, custom iconography, and experiential product demonstrations to create a significantly more dynamic and memorable presence.
Where many competitors focused on promoting individual products or services, Brault presented a connected brand ecosystem that visually communicated how analytics, education, coding, billing, practice management, and revenue cycle solutions work together to support physician success.
The result was a booth that stood apart visually from neighboring exhibitors while creating a more engaging and interactive experience for attendees. By integrating live demonstrations of PerformanceIQ Metrix directly into the exhibit environment, the booth functioned as both a brand activation and a product-launch platform, encouraging meaningful conversations and hands-on exploration rather than passive observation.
Results
The ACEP25 exhibit successfully translated Brault's multichannel rebranding initiative into a large-scale experiential marketing environment while serving as the official launch platform for the new PerformanceIQ Metrix provider analytics solution.
The booth became a highly visible destination on the show floor, drawing attendees through its distinctive visual identity, integrated messaging architecture, and interactive product demonstrations. By providing hands-on access to the new dashboard platform, Brault moved beyond traditional conference marketing and created meaningful engagement opportunities with both existing clients and prospective customers.
Most importantly, the exhibit demonstrated how strategic branding can enable a smaller organization to compete effectively alongside significantly larger industry players. Through strong visual differentiation, consistent storytelling, and a unified brand experience, Brault achieved a level of visibility and recognition that exceeded what might typically be expected from an organization of its size.
The exhibit successfully connected Brault's evolving digital products, healthcare services, and refreshed brand identity into a unified experience that demonstrated innovation, technological sophistication, and a forward-looking vision for healthcare practice management.
More importantly, the project demonstrated how a comprehensive multichannel branding initiative can successfully extend beyond digital and print communications into experiential environments, creating a seamless and recognizable brand experience across every customer touchpoint.
